Waxing Hair Removal

Waxing is a hair removal method where warm or cold wax is applied to the skin and quickly removed, pulling hair out from the root. The process duration depends on the area being treated and hair thickness. Small areas like the upper lip or eyebrows may take 5–10 minutes, while larger areas such as legs, arms, or back can take 30–60 minutes. Results typically last 3–6 weeks, as waxing removes hair from the follicle, allowing smoother regrowth over time.

Waxing is not suitable for everyone. People with very sensitive skin, active rashes, sunburn, open wounds, or skin infections should avoid waxing until the skin heals. Those using retinoids, Accutane, or certain exfoliating or acne medications may experience skin lifting or irritation and are usually advised not to wax. Individuals with varicose veins, diabetes, poor circulation, or a low pain tolerance should consult a professional before waxing. Pregnant clients may also experience increased sensitivity and discomfort during the procedure.
